Back in June, the free speech video platform Brighteon.com announced that privacy crypto Monero and Epic Cash are now integrated into the website as tipping channels for users who want to send financial support to content creators.
Finding more ways to reward independent creators but focusing on just privacy coins, which are cryptocurrencies with privacy-enhancing features designed to boost anonymity and reduce traceability, the alternative network founder Mike Adams announced in a recent special episode of the “Health Ranger Report” the addition of Beam and Firo in the list of their accredited crypto coins. “A content creator who’s got a video channel on Brighteon, can now go into the dashboard and click on settings. On the left-hand side are the crypto wallet entries, you can enter your receive addresses for the crypto coins. And then when you do that, beneath your videos, there will appear a tip crypto button that viewers can use that end users can use,” he said directly addressing the Brighteon channel owners. This way, the video producers can receive 100 percent of the tips via the crypto accounts. Adams clarified that Brighteon would not keep any of the coins as they would not even pass through the channel servers. Tips would directly go to the creators’ crypto wallets.
He then proceeded to give some reminders. “If you’re going to receive tips on Beam, you would want to use what’s called the public offline address because Beam is based on the member Wimble blockchain and so is Epic Cash. Both the sending and the receiving wallets have to be open because if not, the transaction doesn’t go through,” he said. However, this confidential decentralized finance (DeFi) platform offers an offline address that uses the zero-knowledge system that Firo also uses.
“Go to Beam.mw. Click on Settings, and then Utilities. There it says “Show public offline address.” That’s the address that you want to use for Brighteon.com. In Firo, you can use any address in Monero, or any address. In Epic Cash, you can use the standard receive address but the wallets have to be online, in order for that to go through,” Adams explained. But he recommended that the safest way to receive tips is actually through Monero and Firo because both are built around offline systems that don’t require people to be online.
Overall, the best news is that independent video producers can now tell their viewers to support their works by sending tips. “We believe that privacy crypto is for everyone, including people of every persuasion, political leaning, gender, color, ethnicity, religion and so on. Although the Brighteon platform tends to attract more conservative or libertarian content creators, we believe that private money is for everyone. It is a universal human right that all people should celebrate and embrace,” Adams said in a previous article on Natural News.
The team is still working on getting more crypto coins to be accepted at both the stores and the tipping system. “We will keep enabling crypto to help you have the most diverse private way to receive cryptocurrency tips from users who enjoy your content,” he announced.
Another exciting development was announced during the special podcast. The online shopping platforms for clean and organic, 100-percent laboratory-tested health and wellness products from Health Ranger and Brighteon stores are being prepped to receive the private cryptos for payments.
“We’re excited that all of these cryptos are to be accepted as payments or you can say, an exchange for the commodities that we offer, which are storable, organic food, superfoods and nutrients as well as personal care products,” Adams said vowing to let the people know as soon as it is done on the sites. “We intend to support all the cryptos that we are supporting as a tipping system to make our crypto ecosystem continue to build out.”
